SECA Evening Event Swiss VCs on Stage

This SECA event will showcase Swiss managers and discuss opportunities, challenges and look to the future.

Success stories such as company sales and IPOs act as catalysts. Europe is becoming increasingly attractive as a venture capital location and is catching up with the USA rapidly. The positive momentum is also spilling over into Switzerland. Numerous new funds with experienced and "new" managers are start-ing up.

Characteristic of these new funds is that, in addition to a focus on specific company development phases or sectors, they are promoted by teams with distinctive and long-standing entrepreneurial, industrial, scientific, and financial expertise. The track record as a team together or as a "new" team in composition, along with the performance of the predecessor fund, is considered the predominant "quality criteria" of the investor in deciding to invest in one or the other fund.

According to the latest survey published in conjunction with the Swiss Venture Capital Report early 2025, up to 50 “Swiss” vehicles currently raising funds. More than half of these achieved already their first closing. This is good news for investors, who can increasingly choose from a wider range of investment opportunities.
